Many patrons appreciate the outdoor seating that allows them to enjoy meals with breathtaking views of the harbour. Early risers enjoy the breakfast menu, with pancakes and bacon baps receiving particular mentions. The service is consistently praised for its friendliness and attentiveness, making guests feel right at home. The delicious desserts, especially the warm chocolate brownie and crème brûlée, leave diners in high spirits, ensuring a sweet end to their meal.
Some guests have noted that during peak times, especially Saturday evenings, the restaurant can get quite crowded, leading to longer wait times. This can be problematic for those seeking a quieter dining experience. A few diners have mentioned that the children’s menu could offer more variety, as options can be limited. Additionally, while the seafood is highly praised, a couple of reviews indicate that some non-seafood items could be more flavorful. However, these complaints seem minimal compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback.
This place is first class. Sitting in the sun drinking beer. What more would you want. The food was great and service was excellent. Will diff be back.
Very friendly staff, great fresh food and a lovely setting. My kids and I would be more than happy to eat here again. It would be a regular stop for me if I lived in the area.
Lovely lunch at The Quayside Bar & Kitchen. The thyme and mushroom pasta is to die for! Gorgeous food, rich and creamy sauce, pasta done perfectly as well. Garlic bread done nicely, not too garlicy either! Will be back again!

Delicious home made fish cakes. Soft tasty with a kick and melt in the mouth washed down with a glass of chilled New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc coupled with a chilled atmosphere and attentive staff. What more could you want on a summers Monday eve harbourside. We will return
I chose this place because as well as having fresh fish for my husband it also had choices for me as a non fish eater. My Husband starred with squid chunks which he said were absolutely delicious. I had stuffed mushroom, which was very tasty, main course, Husband had plaice which was on the specials board, again, he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had steak which was cooked to perfection. We both had a alcoholic drink & the bill come to just shy of £70 which I think is extremely reasonable. Will definitely return when next in Weymouth
